It's a BOY!!!

We found out Friday that we are bringing a male into this world. We are so thrilled!!! I knew all along it was a boy...you know that instinct thing that women are suppose to have...mine worked this time:) Greg was thinking girl but obviously he's not throwing up...feeling kicks...getting up at 3:30am every morning to go to the bathroom because he feels like a bowling ball is sitting on his bladder...so what on earth would he know??? So I won the bet and we ate at ShoGuns in honor of my win....something I am constantly craving???? I think Greg was just scared it would be a girl and attend ASU getting hit on by all his friend's children (majority are male). I told him not to worry...the Sig Ep house is gone. Now I just have to worry that when our son gets to college he will try to live up to the Tarbutton name. Ughhh the stories are coming back to haunt us already.;) One thing I do know is he will not attend bachelor parties at little Sam V's lake house when he is older...that only leads to trouble.

Things are great with the baby. He has a good looking internal organs, 2 arms, 2 legs, 4 chambers of the heart (was a huge relief), and he's all male and very proud of it:) Does this sound like someone you know??? The nurse didn't even have to say "it's a boy" because our proud son was spread eagling it on the screen. As of now his body is measuring rather large so there could be potential for an early baby (according to me) but my doctor didn't move my due date. I am a little terrified of labor but MORE terrified of the fact that according to Greg's baby pictures his head wasn't the most petite...if you know what I mean. Also, I was a rather LARGE baby. In my new born picture I look 6-8 months old! Big babies run large in our family. My grandma was 10+ pounds! It should be illegal to allow a woman to deliver a baby that large.

Since we found out the sex we have been asked by many people what the name is going to be. Well my response has been "we are still working on it since nothing goes with Tarbutton" (no offense tarbutton's but you know it's true). We have a few names in mind (the same ones we've selected before baby) but are still debating if we are going to share the chosen one or just keep it between us since it seems everything else about our pregnancy has been shared in our community:) One of the downfalls from this is monogramming since this is a personal obsession of mine. I just hope our name choice doesn't tramatize this kid. There is way more drama to the name thing than I ever dreamed so we'll see where this takes us. One thing I do know is it will be SIMPLE.

I will update with holiday pictures later. It's my day off...Greg's home with the stomach bug and apparently he can't handle being sick so I am technically working as I run up and down the steps trying to meet his every need between my tedious job of selecting nursery paint colors and baby bedding. Ahh the life. By the way if you know good custom made baby bedding sites please send them my way.

Can't wait! Now that we know to stay away from pink (or maybe not pink just ruffles), then we need to start talking shower! You know my love of buying things for little boys! Will have to start planning now as you know how it takes moving a mountain to get us all together! HAHAHA! Well, congrats and tell Greg the same. Hope he is feeling better.
