Week 15

I'm alive! I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have gone 3ish weeks without getting sick. Now don't get me wrong...it's not all sunshine and rainbows. But it is definitely a better life than hanging out by the nearest toilet.

My last check up was at the end of November and it went great! I've only lost a few pounds (which I am already gaining back) which is great news. I was also the only patient in the office so they tried out the new ultrasound machine on me. The nurses went crazy! They took over 20 pictures of the baby. It was so fun. My mom got to go with me and they called her back to see lil' T! It was hilarious!!! Lil' T was dancing the entire time....it is no wonder I have been feeling so yucky! What was not so fun was I insisted that Greg go hunting in Arkansas and that he wouldn't miss anything "special" at this appointment other than them doing the "girly" check. First, let me say I somewhat place blame on him because a) I've never had a kid so don't I don't really know what they are going to do to me and he shouldn't listen to me b) I'm pregnant and I shouldn't have blame placed on me during my delicate state c) I've already had one ultrasound and most women haven't had one by that point so why would I expect another one???? Let's just say he is (still) NOT a happy papa. Now mom on the other hand is still rubbing it in that she was part of that special time. I was just excited to see that our baby has moves. Oh and notice I said only one baby. They looked AGAIN to double check me since I've been so sick and they could only find one. THANK YOU JESUS! A husband, a dog, a cat, a kid, and the thoughts of birthing one child are all that I can handle at this point in my life.

My next appointment is Christmas Eve and I will be 16 weeks at that point. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my doctor will give me an early Christmas present and tell us the sex. I have a feeling it will not be until my January appointment. NO I don't care what we have. I just want he/she to be healthy, happy, and a good sleeper:)

FYI- We got out of school at 1:30 today because of ice. It seems since we have crossed state lines there have been more ice storms than ever. The weather in this state...sucks. Greg is cooking chili & I am snuggled by Eden. Our new air purifier/heater. When you are up at 3 a.m. sick there is nothing else on but Girls Gone Wild or infomercials. Let's just say the whole sickness has paid off a.k.a I get gifts. We LOVE ours. As do the cat and dog. I will post a pic of them sitting in front of her later. It has actually saved us money on our heating bill. No I am not selling these as a side job....these babies sell themselves!

Below are some pictures from our past few months! Beware there are tons!!!
Caroline Turns 1

The Cousins
Ashton, Nathan, Mark, Caroline, Lexi, and Lauren

Thanksgiving:
The turkey hat in the previous pic is a tradition that was started last year with Caroline. We take pictures of her with it on each year. Then everyone takes their turn wearing it. Too fun! I think Jill got it at Pottery Barn Kids. I highly recommend this to all families. We have incriminating pics of family members.

Nolan and Caroline's first encounter....he's typically locked up during visits. She loved him. I'm thinking he might be wrapped with a pretty red ribbon for Christmas and shipped off to STL!

Arkansas/LSU Game:
Eating at Loca Luna with LR buddies after the AR/LSU game which we WON! Yeah.
Baby T's first game and it was a hit!
Thanks Marsh for making the reservations! It's one of my favorites!

A reminder written on the table...

Our table at dinner...

The ONLY picture of us from the day/night...it was raining too hard to get a good pic at the game and this is what I ended up with. We look like we are sleep deprived.

Okay out of all my fun times with my friends this could be the best...on the way home from eating Mark and Veazey thought it would be funny to test Mark's blood sugar with the kit that VZ has in his car. As we are going down the BUMPY road VZ pricks his finger...Mark screams...blood goes EVERYWHERE...we are all laughing hard....Mark finds out he has high blood sugar...Jill flips out.

"re" pricking because the first attempt didn't work.

Yard Work:
Greg and Ryan's innovative contraption to collect leaves and dump them on our fire. They tied a tarp to the golf carts and collected them from yards. Too crafty. This is them dumping them on the fire. Greg then burnt them and his fire got somewhat out of control. Everyone's house is still standing but our burning zone has expanded!

13 Weeks
There's a bump. I got home from school 2 Fridays ago and realized that Lil' T started showing! Crazy how you can wake up...go to work....come home....find out you have a pooch in your stomach!

Christmas Elf:
Caroline visits and discovers the Christmas tree! Caroline came down to Bloomfield to stay with mom and dad. She is too funny. She has the greatest personality. I hope our child has her spunkiness! I was snapping pictures and she caught on that if you push the ornaments then the whole tree shakes. Gi Gi caught us and she had to stop but I got some cute pics out of her mischievous behavior:0)

And she sleeps. Okay yes she doesn't look comfy but she finally went down for a nap. My job was to watch her while the rest of the family got her overnight bags together. She yawned and crashed in my arms. They call me the baby whisperer. According to Gi Gi and Pa Pa they didn't need her to sleep so she would in the car on the way back to her parents!

These pics are so good! Sorry I had to miss Christmas this year. I hated it. You will have to post pics for me to see. I can't wait to see how Lil T grows and the baby bump gets bigger! Miss you all and tell the family hi for me.
