We stopped to visit Aunt Nancy, Arnie, and Jordan on our way to Sandestin. We had so much fun! This is John Parker’s first time to meet them. We had a blast sitting around their beautiful pool and going to eat some great food! It was a WONDERFUL stop after driving 12 hours to get there. We left our house at 4am thinking John Parker would sleep but he stayed up majority of the trip. He never “screamed” trying to bail out of his carseat but he did let us know many times that he was not please with us. Our first stop was at a Cracker Barrel outside of Batesville MS to get breakfast since he was not going to sleep and he projectile vomited all over our table. Not sure if he was car sick or just making a point, but needless to say most of our stops along the way had some interesting aspect to it! Thankfully we made it even if it was 3 hours OVER schedule. Greg was a trooper and drove the entire way while I tended to the little one (which I have dibs on driving home).
We were so excited to make it back to Fairhope since this is where we got married 6 years ago! Jordan took me to this adorable children’s boutique and I bought our sweet little girl an outfit for vacation next year
! It was so neat to “come full circle” and buy my children clothing in the cutest little town, where we got married! Ahh how life has changed.
Here are some pics of our first day of travel…
Just a few quick pics of what John Parker did while I packed us on Friday! These were the few innocent shots…I had to take him to my parents because he started unloading EVERYTHING that I packed. At first he was content eating 7 donuts holes while I quickly loaded things but started destroying things as soon as he ran out. The last 2 pics are him eating the donuts and watching a rabbit on our patio.
Driving down…this is outfit #3. At this point he is riding without pants because we ran out due to so many mishaps:)
This is a restaurant we ate at with them outside of Gulf Shores…it is a local favorite and was DELICIOUS! John Parker sat on the railing and just waved at cars while we ate. We was not the most cooperative child but we tried to be understanding since he was in the car soooo long.
This pic is a shout out to my Chi-O friends and relatives! Jordan is a Chi-O at MS State and this is what I was served my coffee in (thanks greg). The next two pics are of our son rolling over like the dog…not sure if we should be concerned. He bonded with the dog. We told him he is getting something sort of like a new pet in December so hopefully he will be just as happy with his little sister as he was with that dog. Hee hee!
Chilling by the pool...
John Parker and Greg trying out Aunt Nancy’s new ride. Arnie bought this for her birthday. Fun gift
Thank you so much Nancy, Arnie, & Jordan for showing such a great time! We had a blast and cannot wait to come back!!!!!
Next stop….Sandestin, Florida.
