After months of snippy comments...I am back. I now have a NEW laptop, hip camera, and the realization that my child will have no trace of his childhood after his 1st birthday party, so I have spent the past 2 days working my little fingers to update this blog. I came to the conclusion at 7am Thursday morning that I would either delete the blog or start working on it again, so here I am. This is way harder than that 1/2 marathon I ran (in a tornado...with a pregnant friend....which i of course failed to blog about, hee hee).
Beware, this is a MASSIVE update with LOTS of pictures of John Parker and all his crazy antics....
A summer visit with Grandma to work on our harmonica skills.
Mowing (which is how I feel about it)
Golfing
Doing the dishes (which you really help with)
Playdates...
We had a summer group of about 10+ teacher moms and a million kids. We would meet once a week and each take a turn planning the activity. This is one of the days at the park with John Parker and Abigail swinging.
One of the many playdates with Caroline throughout the summer. They played so good together. It was really the first time they were interested in some of the same things so it was neat to see them hang out.
Father's Day at the Barnes' home...
(creative grandpa names)
Dancing to the Rolling Stones with dad and pa...
Family fun day at mom & dads...I think we are having a 31st birthday lunch for me:)
Reading with daddy...
Making a HUGE mess....could be that he's confused by the mismatched pjs he's forced to wear.
Airplane time. This is what I looked like at this exact age.
Outside of Nashville on the way to SC. DID NOT SLEEP ALL NIGHT in the hotel room. Life lesson learned. (out of order)
Pop's birthday party.
Hilton Head
We changed things up and went to a new beach this year due to the oil spill. We enjoyed but still missed our "regulars" in Florida. Here are some pics of the action....the rest are printed. I do actually categorize and put vacation pics in an album every year! It was different because of not only the new place but also because dad couldn't go because of farming duties. This is the first fam vacation he has ever missed and WE all missed him a lot!
