The Tarbutton's: August-September 2010 "The Month of the Suckers"

Apparently this is the month John Parker was introduced to suckers....most of the pics during this time he is holding a sucker in his hand.

Smart Car/Smart Kid

This is Casey Hyten's dad's smart car (pretty sure that's too many ')

so of course we took a photo opp for our kid. We met Casey and her fiance for dinner while they were home in August. It was so good to see Casey. She got married this January in a BEAUTIFUL ceremony/recepetion.

Relay.

This is the group of devoted teachers that helped me with the basket auction at Relay this year. The lady in purple, Karen, is near and dear to my heart. She has been involved in Sto. Co. Relay since the beginning and was the former basket auction chair until she entered my classroom one day, convincing me I should take it over. Just recently her cancer has returned. We all wore our Central Cats for a Cause tees and walked half of her survivor lap with her. WHAT AN HONOR to be her friend!

VBS

Once again Greg & I helped with the kids. We were group leaders that took kids to classes, wrangled any delinquents, and answered some CRAZY questions from kids in our group. We loved it. John Parker went to the mixed class of volunteer kids that didn't fall into a normal VBS class and he loved it. Each night before the closing ceremony they would let the small kids dance. Unfortunately, even now he thinks the stage at church is meant for dancing. No son, we aren't that kind of church.

Again...playing around the house. I obviously grab my camera every chance I get but am lousy at downloading them onto the blog.

Planning an escape.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway...we went to the Cards/Cubs series which was AWESOME with our free/close/comfortable/hot seats. Greg's boss keeps nice season ticket which GREG gets to use frequently. Luckily I am friends with the bosses daughter so I have my own connections;) I am pretty sure I could read their lips we were so close. We have sat in good seats...but these are the best!

ASU Homecoming

(this might of been in October...whenever it was...it was fun) Robin & I visited our past. The halls of the AGD floor. Ooh those glory days;)
We had to break into the suite. We forgot the code so Robin googled the magic question and typed the answer into the key pad...it worked. We are awesome, just like old times.
