Forced to slow it down at 33 weeks

Okay so it's been what 2-3 months of no posting?

Here is my excuse list...the end of school & trying to get things ready in my classroom before baby, working on the nursery (yes we finally started), selecting baby names (yes we finally selected one...JP initials & we are withholding because not all family has been informed), a quick visit to labor and delivery b/c of contractions (turned out to be severe UTI), celebrating Easter, traveling to STL (to see Domyans & do baby stuff), traveling to Branson (babymoon), traveling to Memphis (girls weekend), attending local activities (bunco, church, Bloomfield Woman of the Year banquets...more info below), doctor appointments every 2 weeks (yes I'm that far along already), and re-living morning sickness! Yes, it is back and it is UGLY this time. If Greg tells me one more time he wants to "breed me back" right after his beloved child is born I am going to ship him, his baseball card collection, and his little dog back to AR.

I guess my son wants this to be a memorable pregnancy. People keep telling me I will forget all the "bad stuff" but how in the world can you erase almost 7 months (I had a 1-1 1/2 sick free break) of your life hunched over your armadillo colored toilet (I didn't select the color) and not remember how it felt???

I hate to be negative about being pregnant but I want documentation in case I go crazy and forget what it was like. The things making me even more nausiated: people who can eat (especially spicy foods and sweet stuff), going to work and facing kids who "hurt themselves" or feel sick, working, acid reflux (yes I have it pretty bad but it is overshadowed by the obvious puking), sleeping on my side, putting clothes on (that really makes me want to puke), sleeping (Greg has taken up snoring and my body pillow), my inability to "nest" like I have always dreamed of (I am an organizational freak) and did I mention eating?

So what is getting me through this time of "trial and tribulation" (that I truly believe where God is trying to teach me a life lesson...but most of the time I am too near death to realize it)???

Okay what I love about being pregnant....Our baby is healthy and we have never faced a serious issue throughout this pregnancy, sitting in my baby's nursery, washing all his cool onesies (yes I smell of them), shopping for him..Baby Gap rocks, talking to Greg about his future, setting up all the baby "equipment" around our carefully decorated home (baby stuff clashes...that is another post), decorating his nursery, watching Greg get excited about being a dad, and going to the doctor to hear his heartbeat. LOVE IT! But my all time favorite thing about being pregnant is him kicking me. He doesn't stop. He kicks me more than not. It is so neat to watch him rub body parts across my stomach. It is the craziest feeling. He is so strong!!! Greg thinks he is brushing up his karate skills....I still think he's doing the Rosa Parks. Morning, noon, or night he doesn't stop and I am so grateful for that!

What we have left to do before our little dynamite arrives...
1) finish a few things around the nursery (pictures to be posted later)
2) install carseats
3) attend showers
4) meet with our peditrician
5) birth a kid

It's looking like we are on a roll. After months of waiting for everything to come together...we have a nursery, clothes, and toys. According to all baby books, that's all it takes:) We wish!

Okay enough rambling before I have to rush myself to the restroom AGAIN (I'm flat on the couch) I will post the pics from our life from the past two months although they are in reverse order. Oh and please excuse my overuse of the parenthesis...I can do whatever I want (see above post).

Babymoon: Bed and Breakfast on Table Rock Lake
Beautiful!!!

No this isn't Greg bending over, it's the owner of the B & B's pet. Greg loved this thing.

Sometimes when you stay in a B & B you get never know what your room decor' is going to look like. This picture freaked Greg out.

Rather large and COMFY bed! We loved staying at this B & B. The accommodations where wonderful, the food was awesome & it was peaceful!!! Highlight of the trip was Jeb Huckabe's (former razorback) sister staying there. Greg (being the stalkarazzi he is) discovered who she was through our conversation at breakfast. So Greg played 20 questions with her. If you would like an update on his life just ask Greg. Poor girl probably didn't want to think about her brother during her romantic getaway.

This is for my grandparents. No we didn't go to any shows in Branson but we did go see the Titanic exhibit. This is where they film RFD TV. Something my grandparents frequently watch.

Greg overlooking the area.

My turn...

So this is our crib. We finally got it in & I love it!!! After months of searching and running into hundreds of dead ends we finally found the most perfect one.

The baby's first Easter Basket. Last year I went a little crazy at Easter because mom didn't get us (me, Greg, Mark & Jill) baskets. She totally redeemed herself this year! JP is going to love it! The jumbo farm animals are from his cousin Caroline.

Easter Picture (31 weeks & yes I look like blah...I went through alot that morning)

Caroline in her Easter outfit that her ever so stylish aunt bought her.

Girls weekend: Memphis

The above and below pics are of the best food I have ever experienced. We went to melting pot for dessert and this little bit of heaven made two very pregnant girls happy!!!

Posing with Drew Man. Isn't he precious? He only likes to wear preppy college boy clothes. He's not into overalls. Too funny. The sad part of the weekend was that Hillary couldn't join us. We missed you!!!

Caroline's visit to the farm...

Visiting the cows with Pa Pa. She was fearless! If dad had let her run up to them she would have. She is so strong willed and determined. I love it!!

Mom was recently named "Bloomfield Woman of the Year" and we are so proud of her. She is an alderwoman in our town that has done WAY more than her job requires (or pays). She knows how to get things done and I am pretty sure she could run a country!

Me at 28 weeks. I hate these baby bump pictures but my child's pushy father follows me around with a camera stalking us.

Hopefully I will get the nursery pics up soon!
