Veazey and Horton's Visit:
We took the Veazey's to the winery/restaurant in Commerce (beautiful) and ironically the man that owns it is from the same podunk (sorry VZ I had to throw that in...we live in Bloomfield) town in Arkansas...Pleasant Plains (I think) that Greg V. grew up in. CRAZY!
We had a blast and are so glad they came to visit.
A good time was had by all!
Cage:
Cage:
Nolan got a new cage because......
he was attacked by two rather large thug dogs from the neighborhood. Let's just say it happened at 1:30 a.m. and involved Greg in his boxers pulling two dogs off Nolan and me holding a shovel ready to assist (we are good in the event of an emergency). The dogs left but Greg had a little talk with Nolan about getting beat up and how it happens sometimes to boys and he should "man up" and move on. I don't think he was listening because now he CONSTANTLY barks at small children, cats, squirrels, golf carts, elderly people walking their pets or anything else that gets near our house. I did inquire with the police about this attack and they did inform me that I may kill the predators if they return to our property. I am still waiting but the dogs have not returned because they are obviously too scared of us. No PETA we would not kill them but as we put it in SEMO we will send them on "vacation."
Birthday Party:
Okay so I am not too proud to admit that over the summer I contributed to the happiness of a little boy. For his birthday he wanted super heroes to attend his party. So being the friendly supporter of children that I am....I said yes (in passing and thinking it wouldn't happen) to being Wonder Woman. Okay so it was fun and there ended up being other super heroes there that I knew such as Spiderman and Superman so we had fun catching up! I ended up looking like a trashy stripper more than WW.
New Hat:
Jill called and told me that dad is now wearing a straw hat to work in to cover up his neck and ears...which is good. BUT I had to make a trip to the farm to see it for myself. This is dad in his work gear. Notice the khaki shirt and jeans. He is one sharped dressed farmer! I love ya dad!
Antiquing in Augusta (MO):
Mom, Jill, and Caroline and I went shopping. It was so fun but the best part was when Caroline had her first encounter with puppy dog. So cute. The expression on her face was like that the entire time. She has two cats at home BUT I'm thinking she needs a dog....
Apparently I love this pic because looking back this is the second time I have written about this.
Cousin Outing:
The cousins decided to have a last minute dinner one random Saturday. We all loaded up in the car and headed to Cape for dinner at Coltons. We had a blast.
Here are Lexi and Lauren waiting for their food. Aren't they adorable?

A little out of order but on our way to eat the girls started chanting to stop at Cracker Barrel to shop. HILARIOUS! So Lee (their dad) although very reluctant stopped and we shopped there on our way to eat. Too funny.
VBS:
This is Heather (also our neighbor) and she is the light woman or something like that. This is the only picture I took of Vacation Bible School. Greg and I were classroom leaders and did science experiments. They probably won't allow us to do that next year.....we didn't blow anything up but let's just say experimenting is not our forte nor was studying our lesson ahead of time. I put Greg in charge of organizing us for this since I had relay coming up but that lasted 1 day and I had to step in and save our Christian dignity.
Kidding! I am just glad I had such a good little scientist helper.

Beth Visits Bloomfield:
Beth came up to see me again! It was so fun. We antiqued, shopped, ate, cried, talked, cried, and ate some more but mostly we played guitar hero.
Here is Greg and Beth challenging each other.

Day one....
Because we live in a small town word got out and then everyone showed up to try "that guitar thang" out. Actually Mara (girl on far right) brought over her own guitar and we all challenged each other. It was so funny! The guy jamming out in orange is dad.
He was really into it and not so good....I get that from him.
Final Challenge:
Greg and Beth in one final hoorah before she packed up the band. Notice I am not in ANY pics playing. I was so good that I couldn't get anyone to challenge me;)
Relay:
I'm a little out of it in this pic. It was 4:30 a.m.
But I'm thrilled because we raised over $120,000.00!!!!!!
YEAH!
THANK YOU the Stephens and Vaughts for your hunting donations. They donated a hunting day for our auction and between both donations we raised just over $1000.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Me with the other two chairs Jennifer and Michele.
Dog Sitting Sam:
(the white fuzzy one)
Emily went to Florida so we got to watch Sam.
He ruled our home the entire time.
He even slept in our bed although Greg tried to stop him EVERY night!
This is how Nolan felt about Sam...it's a little blurry but Sam is chasing Nolan around our yard.
