Since I went back to work the first week of February we’ve had lots of things happen..our little family of four is thriving and surviving! Unfortunately documenting all of this has hit low on my priority list. So I’ll play a little catch up…
We celebrated Valentine’s Day. John Parker had his first v-day party at Miss Tonya’s. Growing too fast! Reese’s expression says it all. We opened gifts sent to the kiddos & one special Keurig that was promptly returned since G thought it was a little fancy for his liking. Sigh. Hit of Vday- the memory cards sent from C!
Celebrated Ma’s birthday at our favorite little steakhouse.
Lots of brother/sister bonding time.
Waiting on Caroline to show up for a little visit.
Stopping 30 seconds to pose like a little gentlemen with Scooby Doo. Where did my baby go?????
Baby dedication for Reese. Afterwards we went to Daufers to celebrate. The family dwindled due to the stomach bug! Caroline and Jill had to walk off the stage at church because C said she was going to get sick and unfortunately Ma missed it also due to the bug. Despite all the drama it was still a great day for Reese! She wore a sweet little outfit that Poppy and Inga got her.
More family bonding time. These were taken during my “winter” break the 2nd week of February. I say “winter” because it was not winterlike…more like spring break! Lots of gator riding, park playing, stroller rides & bike adventures.
and reading books to “sissy”
Taking pictures before church and watching Reese turn 3 months!
Helping mom cook.
Napping
while big brother does this….
Bonding again. More like poor Reese being forced to spend quality time with big brother. He has his doctor’s kit out “workin’ on weese.” Noticed he dressed himself. Sigh.
Making a garden box.
Eating rice cereal, rolling over, and dozing in the bouncer!
Being entertained by big brother.
Going to Discovery Playhouse with Lanie (those pics didn’t turn out except the one of JP at the water table) and meeting cousins.
Sharpening egg hunting skills.
Attended the PAT Strollerthon and Egghunt.
Going to cookouts.
More egg hunting at Miss Patty’s house with Lanie Grey.
And again that afternoon at the Mill’s shed. The third picture cracks me up. John Parker ran as soon as Miss Di said go (on the far left side of the pic). He was a pro by the end of the day! Miller is helping him get eggs. Precious!
Another encounter with the bunny…the bunny is also our friend Kevin. He is a banker by day and rabbit during the Easter season:0)
Visit from the bunny. It appears the bunny had a little party in our house before he left. Not Kevin, the real bunny.
We promised keep it simple for Easter and pretty much did, but seeing his reaction was priceless! John Parker also got a visit from the hair fairy.
Annual pics in front of mom and dads. For some reason we always take pics outside their house before we go to church. Really in all these pics I am about to have a panic attack because we are going to be late for church. We made it, stayed for music, then John Parker was promptly escorted out by his father due to his excessive noise making which only worsened when 4 rows in front and behind us started laughing. Reese cried shortly after and we all enjoyed the lovely Easter service from the hallway. The joys of two small kids at church! Oh well. They looked cute!
After church we headed to mom and dad’s for a small Easter celebration where I attempted a few more pics before lunch. John Parker was spiraling out of control from the guilt of behaving badly in church all the sugar consumed within a 48 hour period.
The past 2 months have been awesome with our two little ones! I cannot wait for summer to get here so we can enjoy days in our pjs, swimming, golf cart rides, playdates, and staying up late! We have some trips planned and John Parker’s first Cardinals game coming up. Whoo hoo! Summertime here we come….
