Today has been BUSY. This morning at church I had Children’s Church, Greg had soundbooth, and we were running extremely late…which is never good when you have to drop John Parker off at the toddler room. If they are not eating a snack or coloring (luckily today it was playdough) then he wants to leave and go find something else to do…sigh. SO being the good baptist folks that we are, we have come up with a system. We give him a dollar on the way to church and REALLY talk it up how he gets to put it in the offering. This gives him a goal to look forward to as he goes to class. Last Sunday he did not make it to class with the dollar (we feel he might be hoarding somewhere) so I was a little concerned when Greg took him to class, I checked with his teacher and he gave it to her as soon as he walked in. After church I did not find him in the toddler room but playing in this VBS “pond” décor with his cousin Caroline…we predict he will end up in here before the week is over.
Tonight we went back for VBS kickoff. Greg and I are group leaders again this year (I always sign us up against Greg’s will then he ends of enjoying it more than anyone…we usually end up with a few kids that he needs to put in a headlock…his kind of people). It has been a crazy day trying to coordinate naps (for me too of course), store, making food, organizing a house in the middle of a remodel, etc but we managed and even squeezed in some C time at Gigi and Pa Pa’s at the end of the day.
Some quick pics of our day:
Hanging out with the Templemire’s before kickoff and checking out the exotic animals they had for kids.
The fountain AGAIN. He cleaned out Ma and two other innocent women of their change. Luckily all money in the fountain goes to Faith Home in Haiti. I decided we will take some change from his piggy bank the rest of the week since Greg and I have given him every single coin we have.Getting a VBS tattoo with Heather….
After church we headed to mom and dads to play with C and Aunt Jill…
They are doing a coin trick with Greg.
Playing dress up in Pa and Gi’s closet….in the second pic JP is saying cweese!
The wig is from a surprise party my parents attended…it was a 70’s theme. JP and C know how to rock it. Jill and I think C looks like a Russian spy.
This pic is for Christian and Krystal….John Parker LOVES his new tool stand. Thank you! He showed Greg his new toy as soon as Greg got home from his trip. He has played with it constantly since you left. Thanks again and we LOVED seeing you! We hope your flight back was safe and easy.
