Great News!

It's that time of year where "men" all over America fret over a list of football players in order to choose the right players for their imaginary team in hopes of becoming the winner of bragging rights because they were "smart" enough to choose the right players for their "FANTASY" football draft. Geez. Could the NFL make life any harder on women? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE college football but HATE NFL and "grown" "men" all across America trying to choose those NFL players (most players wearing those criminal alert anklets) to "win" I believe annoys me even more. I mean do you see me and my girlfriends using a Monday night to call or email to discuss players all the while secretly hoping to get the best tumbler in our fantasy cheerleader draft...and yes this could be a true event because cheerleading is a sport....but we're too dignified to create a fake team and pit them against each other in competitions....we did this a long time ago...it's called playing barbies.

I guess I am still on my rant from the cable guy...I'm sure he was thinking more about his fantasy team than spreading staph to my family. Seriously my problem is that every year I ask Greg how much it costs and he always says nothing. At the end of his fake season he always informs me that he lost our family ____ amount due to his inability to win with his fake team. Uhh. This past rodeo season (whenever that is) my dad and his buddies created a team. That is when I knew this make believe thing was out of control. Bless their hearts.

So what is the silver lining in all this....I got a new dishwasher. Yes, no questions asked. We went out to eat and then to Sears to buy me that fanciest dishwasher this side of the Mississippi. It's nicer than anything else in our home. I'm pretty sure Greg was so consumed with his fake team that he was oblivious to the fact that I was tricking him. So in conclusion....Greg probably won't win and I will be annoyed for most of this fantasy season by all the talk of his "team" but I feel like a winner already! Thanks Greg for your purchase for our family. Our kitchen is ALMOST complete. IF you win this year then maybe we can go all out and buy that microwave you've been promising us;)

Below are some pics of the kitchen in its current state. Keep in mind when we moved in we painted "temporarily" until changes could be made. Two years later I am still living with temporary but slowly fantasy boy is coming around.

The stove and fridg are new. The pics above the stove were hung as I was in labor! They are still a little crooked from that day.

On to better things...
John Parker attended his first birthday party for his cousins.
Happy 2nd Birthday Nathan and Ashton!!!

Here is a picture of John Parker and Chloe. She is the cutest baby! We go to church with her grandparents and I went to high school with her momma. Hopefully JP will catch up to her.
Poor guy will probably be shorter than most women his age.
It must be love!

Grandma Betty with JP at the birthday party. Grandma also watched John Parker for me this past Saturday so I could finally complete that massage I was suppose to get the day I went into labor!! Thanks grandma betty!!!

So this exersaucer is a little big for him right now but we place him in it and he stares at all the plastic farm animals. What a dream! He looks so funny sitting in it because he leans forward, dangles his legs, grunts, and slobbers.
Right now JP is sleeping from 7ish to 5:30/6. We are so lucky to have such a great sleeper (at night). Now during the day that is a whole different story. This afternoon he only took a 5 minute nap for my grandma! I think he's afraid he'll miss out on something. Also this weekend we got to hear him laugh out loud for the first time. It was a good belly laugh and it was wonderful! More to come but here is the lastest pic. He's playing "airplane" with his father. I'm pretty sure he's wishing his father would put him down and go play with his "team."

I REALLY feel your pain with the fantasy football. I HATE it also and my husband becomes fantasy football obsessed. Yuck! JP is such a cutie and man, isn't he growing!!

I totally understand the the Fantasy Football craze...and I have 2 men in my house that do it. Fortunately, for some reason, I think they missed the deadline this year so I am so thankful!!!!

And John Parker is probably one of the most adorable babies that I have ever seen...along with Vita Claire, Sam, and Drew of course! And he is getting so big!!! I can't wait to see him again in person! Glad the staph didn't spread to your household! LOL! Miss you!
