My birthday. Well yes I celebrated this year although I (gulp) turned the big 3-0. Since I am a planner I knew having John Parker right before my 30th would help ease the pain....and it did. What didn't ease the pain was the death of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett on my birthday. Hopefully this isn't a bad omen. So for my birthday we shipped JP to his grandparents for the night, Greg cooked my annual birthday dinner, and we watched Michael Jackson videos on MTV. Talk about reflections. Every old school (not new Michael...a little credit please) MJ song had a story behind it from my childhood. I also made a phone call to my sister so we could have a moment of silence for the King of Pop. Jill and I had the Thriller RECORD. Not tape, RECORD. We would play it on my parents "sound system" from '72 and dance around the basement all while I was wearing one of my white cotton church gloves (mom refused to buy me a replica glove so I had to improvise). We LOVED fro' Michael.
Thanks Greg for a wonderful dinner and beautiful watch. Thanks mom and dad for watching John Parker and giving me the gift of sleep. It was low key & perfect!
The annual "21" candles. This gets Greg brownie points every year!
Then we went to Memphis for Bill and Lindsey's wedding. We tried to continue celebrating the 30th while in Memphis but ended up back at our room to order room service and sleep! Us on the roof of Peabody. Not sure why it looks like we are in the clouds.
Only pic from wedding.
Thanks Laura for letting me steal it. In the Peabody Lobby before wedding.

More Caroline
So when Caroline visits Gi and Pa Pa's she likes to play with this.....
(oops sideways)
This is Caroline lining up the family to also play...
(notice I'm not in the pic. I'm an outcast b/c I brought another child into the family...not in her circle of trust)
This is what she demands....too funny! She will push people (that she selects) to crawl through the door continuously until she is no longer amused. It's easier to just do it than to tell her no and I think everyone secretly enjoys it. Fortunately we are little people and are able to go through this toy and keep her happy!
