This week we have done NOTHING on a schedule (minus my one day back to work without kids…I took both Tuesday to my classroom and that lasted minutes). It has been great! I think the lack of activity has made Reese a little more aggressive with her brother, but for the most part WE LOVED OUR EASY GOING WEEK! We did squeeze in one playdate with the Essners but I did not take pictures since I was chasing Reese around the pool and watching John Parker swim without his puddle jumper. We ended the week going to Memphis Friday night for a Redbirds game with college friends and then the Ellie Horton 5k in Marion Saturday morning. We are exhausted and everyone is sleeping as I type, but we wouldn't trade being with our friends this weekend for anything!
She did not like the carwash. Nor did I, my sunroof was unknowingly open. I found this out 3 seconds after I took this picture.
Some happenings around the house…the pictures with Reese in the net and selfies is when I was working at school and Mara was staying with her.
I was putting the dishes away Friday morning and the kids were playing it the cabinet. While putting glasses away I noticed a taco in the kid’s cup cabinet from the night before. Sigh.
Fun times and on our way to Memphis!!!!
Friday we went to the Redbirds game with the Hortons and Veazeys. Andy hooked us up with free tickets (thank you!) which was great! I am pretty sure between all of our crazy kids we did not make it through one whole inning of the game before they were ready to get up and play! We did see a group of college kids on a rush trip. They all looked happy, hip, and rested. Times have changed because that use to be us all of us (maybe besides the hip part). Ha! It’s always fun when we get together with our kids. Miss these people SO much!!!!!!!
Ellie Strong 5k was held Saturday morning in Marion. It was held to support Ellie as she rehabs after suffering a stroke. She is awesome and started the race off walking for everyone! I did not run this race but ran/walked with Robin, talking the entire 3 miles! Greg on the other hand is the ultimate runner and pushed the double stroller, running most of the race. It was so great to see soooo many AGDs that I haven’t seen since college. Great times for a great cause!!!!!
Group pics of the all the AGDs that turned out. What an awesome group of girls!!!! Reese joined me in the pic (we had to divide and conquer the kids) so this is her first Alpha Gam photo. My little legacy!
Two of my besties!!!! So glad we got to spend time together.
